| Mission statement: | Shantallow Community Restorative Justice shall endeavour to build community spirit and uphold the rights of our community to be free from the fear of crime or intimidation. To co-operate and assist in the resolution of local anti-community related issues. |
| Aims & objectives: | To form a community based system of justice that will tackle the problems of anti-social behaviour through mediation, negotiation and community pressure. To address these issues through the principles of CRJ, wherein there would be no RUC involvement (which would obviously affect future job prospects) and no paramilitary involvement. To give training to as many local residents as possible on the principles of CRJ, child protection and the enhancement of their mediation skills. |
